THE VIBRATORS / KNOX - (Vinyl Rips)
Tired of The Vibrators heavy touring schedule and the record company pulling the money for a third album. Knox left the band in 1978, to pursue a solo career. He released two singles Gigolo Aunt and this little ditty; a lot more of a poppy affair than the Vibrators, but great stuff all the same, mind you Baby, Baby was a 'pop' song after all. In 1983 he released the rather fine Plutonium Express album, which is available + Gigolo Aunt at Power Pop Criminals, take a trip there to grab it. Anyway here's :KNOX - She's So Good Looking b/w Love Is Burning
Thanks for Posting this single by Knox,I think he is a fantastic writer of both punk and pop tunes. It is a shame in someways that he is not better known.
I have a great video of the band when they came to Tampa a few years ago. Knox was/is a very friendly guy. I sent them a copy of the video, but did not get any acknowledgement. Very good live band. (Vibrators)
Couldn't agree with yer more eric. You only have to listen to both the downloads to hear it. Yep and indeed pogel he still is a friendly guy. Met him twice once this year and before that it was 23 years ago when I interviewed him for my 'zine, a copy of interview is on their website. Why don't you post the vid pogel?
What you have to say is always read, I may not always respond, as I've often said all I wanna say so I leave the rest up to you good folk to have your say, cos it aint just about me!
