Lo-fi punk, art pop, psychedelic, call it what you want it’s all rock’n’roll to me. The Television Personalities have been tagged with all these labels during their long and productive ‘career’. I say their, but it’s really Dan Tracey who’s the man behind it all, one of Britain’s most underrated and unique song writers ever. From dark days of depression and heroin addiction to a stint in prison Dan’s a survivor who’s lived to tell the tale. This session is from 1980 and came to me via the good folk on the forum that’s attached to A Day In Heaven, the wondrous web site archive of the bands career that can be found here. The Peel Session is just a click away here. Enjoy!
