Nein, Nein, Nein!

So the Metropolitan Police isn’t Racist; 10 years on after the Stephen Lawrence enquiry and the subsequent McPherson Report, fuck all has changed. The Head of the Black Police Association is telling black people not to join, there have been race allegations by officers against former Commissioner, Ian Blair, and now I read about how the Crown Prosecution Service had information with held from them when it was disclosed after their trial, that a BNP member who was recently prosecuted for having illegal weapons, was infact at the time of his arrest a serving police officer. The police claim they didn’t know about this, as apparently Ellis Hammond lied about the BNP membership on his application form. Yeah right, probably how he got the job in the first place.

I don’t understand this. Blair is a Liberal who has brought more reform to the Met than anyone before him and there are now more BME offices than ever before. So why is he being accused of racism?

Check out the request bit to the left, (scroll down) over the weekend for some Seers MrM. Ian Blair may well have increased the amount of BME officers in the force, but the issues from my understanding are about how those recruits progress through the force, their experiences etc, and lets face it, after Mcpherson, the force had to be seen to do something about 'under representation' which could be seen as some form of inverted racism. Cheers for yer time anon, hope to hear from you again. Stay Free!
