MAKE SENSE OF THE SENSELESS ! / QUESTION THE QUESTIONABLE ! / SHOUT ABOVE THE NOISE !

Sunday 4 March 2007

Mobile phones, where would we be without them ? Back in the dark ages, of piss stinking phone boxes and Buzzbee. It's good to talk, but for fucks sake..Shut up ! Nowhere is free from inane chatter, annoying ring tones and the tap, tap of texting fingers. Now you can watch TV and listen to music on your phone, great. Can't people wait till they get home to crank up their stereo ? no, they have to listen to it on the bus, and so does everyone else. Isn't technology a wonderful thing. No one knows if the phone signals are bad for our health, aerial's some disguised as trees and church spires blot our landscape as the blue toothed monsters intrude into our lives. The all singing all dancing Nokia 666, just what you need to make your life complete. People are dying for this freedom of speech. From the Civil Wars raging in Africa over the mining of minerals needed for mobile phone chips, to the child run over by a driver concentrating on chatting and not where he was going.

Good choice of target nuzz, fed up with seeing these arseholes yakking away while driving, or clogging the place up with their mindless gabbing....and when you do hear what they are saying, jesus, it isn't half dumbed down. How did we ever survive without them? and no, I don't trust the masts either (and I worked in the telecoms industry for 16 years).

got a few more 'targets' lined up. Put'em all together and they are just pieces of the dysfunctional jigsaw of 21st century societies. I 'aint no Luddite, but someday surely enough will be enough, how much miniturization do we need ? Just 'cos it can be done doesn't mean it has to be done.

Man, I can't agree with you more. Yap yap yap, everywhere I go people are on the goddamn phone chatting away.
They also play music through those really crappy phone speakers (you know muddy the really muddy ones) how could anybody enjoy that?

Too right Duncan, "all they ever needed was a bullshit phone" and that is all I ever hear. Thanx for commenting.
