“Trust, faith, good, bad...non of it matters. All you ever do is what you have to do. Follow your desires, fulfil your needs, escape from pain. That's all there is to it.” - Kevin Brooks.
"Things you use; things you possess, and are possessed by; things you build with - bricks, words. You build houses with them, and towns, and causeways. But the buildings fall, the causeways cannot go all the way. There is an abyss, a gap, a last step to be taken." - Ursula Le Guin.
HIGH STREET
I took a walk and what did I see
Miles and miles of misery.
Down in the town they offer heaven
For all your pounds.
Get back home open up the bag
Then get the feeling you’ve been had.
Just more shit you didn’t need
Consumption feeds their fix for greed.

Wow...That’s some crazy old shit. The MIND Bookshop by any chance?
lol, "The Growing Menace" that make it sound like serial killers are a dime a dozen!
That's a great find.

Tried the col-er-dermer.co.uk thing out of curiousity. Why would I do that?
Was a time when it was Punks or Skinheads or Football Hooligans were 'the growing menace' talk about up the antee.
Now you have to slaughter a dozen people to be even considered a growing menace. Poor show I feel just for a few column inches and five minutes of fame :)

it's a good book Nuzz, worth a read.
Thought the breakdown on common predispositions to being a serial killer section was interesting.
A few years back I used to walk about 3 miles to work and always enjoyed a read on the way in. One old guy who often used to give me a nod asked what I was on with when I was reading this and looked aghast when I showed him. Always looked away after that...shame he was a cheerful enough chap.
Thanks for all the sense and music you post.
