“Trust, faith, good, bad...non of it matters. All you ever do is what you have to do. Follow your desires, fulfil your needs, escape from pain. That's all there is to it.” - Kevin Brooks.
"Things you use; things you possess, and are possessed by; things you build with - bricks, words. You build houses with them, and towns, and causeways. But the buildings fall, the causeways cannot go all the way. There is an abyss, a gap, a last step to be taken." - Ursula Le Guin.
HIGH STREET
I took a walk and what did I see
Miles and miles of misery.
Down in the town they offer heaven
For all your pounds.
Get back home open up the bag
Then get the feeling you’ve been had.
Just more shit you didn’t need
Consumption feeds their fix for greed.

Ooooh, you eighties Class War warrior you.
Exactly Nuzz. This is most certainly not about Class War. Class War is as dead in the water as New Labour (But not the Labour party). People who shout Class War at anyone who questions Cameron’s ability to govern due to his privileged background and immense wealth or wants to put a stop to city fat cat bonuses has their head up their arse. This is just about fucking humanity and attempting to slightly level a playing field that has become virtually vertical.
Heard a slightly revealing interview yesterday. Robert Peston was asserting that if bonuses were to be curbed in the City of London then all the fat cats would go over to NY to work.
The interviewer laughed and reminded him that in NY, all the finance jocks who have been getting paid shit loads were threatening to come to London if their bonuses were curbed.
Time to call time on all this shit once and for all I think.
Did someone mention war?
Bob Ainsworth is in Afghanistan commemorating the one hundredth British soldier killed.
Meanwhile over in Iraq, car bombings kill yet another hundred Iraqi civilians.
Go figure…
