Without any sense of irony 600,000 people did exactly what someone told them and signed up to the face book group. Still the revolution starts somewhere!

RAGE AGAINST SIMON COWELL!
A few weeks ago a couple of people unhappy with the Cowellisation of the British pop charts Christmas No.1 single, (like anyone gives a shit.) by the years X-creta Factor winners, set up a ‘face book campaign’ to get people to buy downloads of Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name to try and make it the festive chart topper. It’s the one with the catchier than swine flu “FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME” refrain.
Without any sense of irony 600,000 people did exactly what someone told them and signed up to the face book group. Still the revolution starts somewhere!

Difficult choice. Always thought Rage Against The Machine were one of the worst kinds of clichéd LA rock band spouting manufactured rebellion for college kids that you could find, and their music always gave me a headache.
Much like Cowells music really.
+1 also .. without trying to sound geeky, theyre both on sony or related to it. some guy there is laughing all the way to the bank/ travel agents.
May I point you to the excellent Radio Clash blog/podcast for some well argued reasons

I can't say I've heard the X-factor job and neither do I want to. As for RATM - don't like them and never have done and probably never will do. So who cares? Not me. The music in the charts has been shit for decades so its hardly gonna affect anyones lives is it.
Have a great Christmas Nuzz
