The Vibrators have been going strong for over 30 years now and released countless albums. Never really given much credence in punk circles at the time and also often ignored during the endless revisits. Criminal, cos in my mind they were one of the best. Knox, their singer/guitarist is one of the great unsung songwriters, his lyrics have a naive charm, often very childlike rhymes written from a third person perspective. Dark tales of heart break, disaster, kinky sex and social comment, they all paint a picture, and the tunes are toe tapping pogo dancing catchy. This album was recorded in 1995 and released on their own label. It finds the band in stripped down mode and it's like it says on the tin. 14 Vibrators classics from across the years in acoustic form. Absolutely brilliant.
